Before forming Guild Capital in 2009, Iain was a venture capitalist with Technology Crossover Ventures in Palo Alto, California for six years. At TCV he undertook investments spanning consumer internet, business process outsourcing, and software. Prior to venture capital, Iain was a management consultant with Bain & Company.
Iain was born in Glasgow, Scotland and has an M.A. in International Business from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
Andrew has nearly 20 years of experience at leading Wall Street investment banks, most recently serving as Managing Director of Deutsche Bank’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications investment banking group. His experience spans angel investing, corporate finance and M&A advisory assignments across the internet, software and fintech sectors.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2004, Andrew worked at Credit Suisse, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette & Robertson Stephens. Andrew holds a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University.
Before joining Guild Capital, Smriti spent seven years in the Private Equity Group at Bain & Company and facilitated a wide range of M&A, hedge fund and private equity deals in the software/IT, tech, healthcare, retail, and financial services sector.
Smriti was born in San Francisco. She has a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. She has also spent time in impact investing and running Business Development for a professional services startup in New York.
Apoorv has 10+ years of experience across management consulting and operations strategy. Before joining Guild in 2017, he served as the Head of Strategic Initiatives at Rivigo, Vice President of Business at Paytm, Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co., and Consultant of Strategy and Operations at Deloitte. He also has entrepreneurial experience as a co-founder of PurplTree.
Apoorv holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Sailesh manages operations in India for Guild Capital’s process outsourcing firm Atidiv. Before joining Guild Capital, he spent about two and a half years consulting at Bain & Company in Mumbai. At Bain & Company, he worked with clients in heavy industries, telecom and automobiles.
Sailesh grew up in the industrial complexes of Jamshedpur and completed a B.S. in Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay with a minor in Applied Statistics and Informatics.
Akshat manages Guild Capital’s business-building toolkit, called the Guild Platform, to help portfolio companies scale. Before joining Guild in 2015, he spent three years as an investment banker at Credit Suisse Mumbai, focusing on risk coverage of alternative investments.
Akshat hails from Ajmer, a small town in the desert state called Rajasthan. He completed his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and M.S. in Communications & Signal Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2012.
Aviral recently graduated with an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad after pursuing a B.S. in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He has previously spent a summer with Morgan Stanley.
Aviral hails from the industrial city of Kanpur and has spent majority of his life across Pune and Mumbai.
Before joining Guild Capital in 2017, Nikhil worked with McKinsey & Company for 3 years as a management consultant on various projects spanning IT, real estate, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, automobiles, and auto-components.
He has a B.S. and M.S. in Metallurgical engineering and Materials Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Nikhil hails from Mumbai.
Ankita joined Guild in 2015 and served in key leadership roles at our portfolio company, Atidiv. Prior to Guild, she spent 1.5 years as a management consultant at KPMG. During her time there, she worked with clients in renewable energy, IT, heavy metals and infrastructure.
Ankita grew up in New Delhi. She holds B.S. and M.S degrees in Biochemical Engineering & Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Before joining Guild in 2016, Aditya co-founded FairFrog, a niche online marketplace. Prior to his entrepreneurial stint, he was an options trader at Optiver in Amsterdam and has spent a summer with Citi.
Originally from Srinagar, Aditya grew up in the north Indian city of Chandigarh. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur and an M.B.A. from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
Prior to joining Guild Capital in 2017, Srishti worked in the Structured Credit team at Deutsche Bank. She has a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She hails from the industrial city of Surat.
Before joining Guild in 2015, Sachin was an investment analyst at Credit Suisse. He also has three years of experience in the Finance and Audit function at Deloitte. He is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a Bachelors in Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
Before joining Guild in 2015, Amit was associated with the Times Group and Mediterranean Shipping Company, where he was an integral member of their legal teams. Amit was born in Nagpur and he has completed a BA.LLB (Honors) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.
Before joining Guild in 2018, Rangam worked with top corporate law firms in India including AZB & Partners and Veritas Legal. He graduated at the top of his class from Symbiosis International University with a bachelors degree in law. Rangam hails from New Bongaigaon, a small town in Assam.
Kavita manages the Chairman’s office in India. Before joining Guild in 2014, she spent close to 3 years as a Senior Service Coordinator at NCR Corporation Mumbai, focusing on SLA Management and client communications. Kavita hails from Pakur, a small town in north-east India and has Bachelors in Mathematics from the BSP University.
